Flat owners of Noida Extension finally released breath of relaxation when National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission stayed the cancellation of their bookings.
Giving relief to the proposed buyers and owners of Noida Extension, National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission last week stayed the cancellation of booked flats.
A complaint, filed by Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association, alleged that a real estate builder had cancelled their bookings soon after the planning board of NCR approved the Greater Noida Master Plan 2021. The association contained over 100 flat buyers and owners of the area.
Once the Master Plan 2021 got the approval, the builders resumed construction in the area. However this was the beginning point for the struggles and battles of the flat owners of Noida Extension.
Grieving home buyers of Noida Extension filed a petition with the commission last month. The owners alleged that the developer cancelled the bookings in order to gain more profit from the project.
As the property prices are growing in the area, those who have booked the flats are forced to pay additional amount to the builder. There are many complaints about the builders in the area. Some of the builders are alleged of threatening the buyers forcing them to pay higher amounts.
The Noida Extension Flat Owners now plan to meet the builder legally. They expressed their delight in the stay order and commented that this is really a ray of hope for them.
The builders have been harassing the in many ways. Against the harassment of the builders they now plan to conduct a protest in Noida Extension (also known as Greater Noida West) on the coming Sunday.
Since the approval of Master Plan 2021, the developers are demanding higher prices for all properties including the booked properties. However the owners have been running from post to pillar for gaining justice.
They have approached Union urban development ministry, CCI and Greater Noida Authority with the same purpose. They also had informed the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India too about the scrupulous nature of the builders in Noida Extension.
