Recently Noida Authority unearthed Rs.3800 Cr worth Real estate scam in Noida. The sources revealed that the real estate scam took place during the BSP regime in the state.
Noida Authority recently came up with a real estate scam worth Rs.3800 Cr. The sources close to Noida Authority revealed that the scam took place while the BSP was ruling the state. Yet the BSP state is said to be misled by the then officials who are under suspension now.
Once the Real Estate Scam was unearthed by Noida authority, Noida real estate proved that it has been under the hands of land intruders. Being a hot real estate destination there is always a higher demand for land in the city. Real estate builders are after the land parcels of Noida as the area offers better and higher returns to the real estate developers.
Nearly three lakh 81 thousand sq. m. of prime Noida land was leased to some private companies and individuals while the BSP was ruling the state. The prime land parcels, along Yamuna Expressway and other various Noida sectors like 140A, 141, 142 and Sector 143 were leased to some private individuals besides three private firms.
The Noida Authority, as part of investigation, has dismissed Nayab Tehsildar and further has asked for the removal of additional district magistrate (land) Noida. Noida Authority has been preparing the FIR against them.
Noida Authority started their investigation against them in June 2012 after the BSP lost its ruling. According to the available sources the real estate scam happened in 2011 when BSP was ruling the state.
The scam shows the involvement of Harish Chandar, a PCS officer posted as Noida secretary, Nayab Tahsildar Manoj Kumar Singh and Ajay Shrivastav, the Tahsildar.
These officials allotted nearly 3,81,527 sq. m. of prime Noida land to three private firms and individuals illegally. Stating that there will not be any possible land transaction without the consent of the additional district magistrate of Noida, the Noida Authority has demanded the removal of him as well.
CEO Sanjeev Saran revealed that the Noida prime land was allotted at a marginal rate of Rs.11,000 / sq. m. while the actual rate is above Rs.1 lakh per sq. m. These officials wrongly informed the government that this land was dispersed with the view of calming the farmers’ rage down.
